Remix from the past versions for new changes.

What is Remix

Remix helps you to launch new dev chats from past versions, either your own projects or others'. It helps retain context during development, tracks changes via version summaries, and avoids wasting credits.

How to use it

There are three ways of using Remix. You can remix your project from past versions or others' projects in App World.

Method One

Step 1: Click the Remix icon in the chat box to branch off the current version.

🎺 Tip: You can check the dev history and the chat history with Remix, both your own projects and public projects in App World.

Method Two

This way enables you to select a specific version to remix.

  • Step 1: Click the clock button at the top of the page. It's on the right side by the name of your project.

  • Step 2:Click the remix icon on the left side of the page.

Method Three

Scroll down on the homepage and find an interesting project.

Step 2

Click the Remix button at the top-right of the page. You will see a pop-up after clicking.

Use case

  1. Lila saw a wonderful front page for a Calorie Tracking System in App World, and remixed it to add some of her own ideas.

  2. Bob finds a past version of Atom's work satisfying, but wants to try to add more functions. So he remixed it for new explorations.
