In most cases, this happens because the payment did not actually go through. Even if you initiated the recharge, the transaction may have failed silently without you noticing. Common reasons include:
The payment was declined by your bank
The payment timed out before completion
You can confirm the payment status in a few ways:
Stripe checkout page – check the final status of your transaction
Email inbox – check whether you received a notification about a failed payment
Settings →Plans and Billing → Manage Billing – review your subscription and payment history
